Ready To Go

After 7 months of planning, fundraising and scavenging equipment the team is finally ready to go. All the gear is packed and weighed. We are leaving Barry at 1am Tuesday Morning for the road trip to Gatwick Airport, before a 6 hour flight to Banjul.

We are taking out 3 rescue boards, 7 rescue tubes, 4 resuscitation training dolls, 5 resuscitation masks, 10 first aid patrol bags and contents, 3 complete first aid kits, 4 training manuals, teaching notes, 200 RLSS caps and 100+ pens. All to be donated to the newly trained lifeguards and school children.

Greetings lads! OR, to use the Gambian Lingo Jingo Gzambulumpazemby Zebedee! (Didn't know I could speak fluent Gambian, did you Mike?!)
Hope you are all enjoying the experience and are training those guys to your usual exceptionally HIGH standards....(you know: Run Swim, Ski, Run, BEER, swim, Paddle, BEER, ski, LIE DOWN, BEER........)
Keep up the good work - I've written to Gordon Brown who will be inviting you to the next International Surf Life Saving Summit (to be held on Cllr Rob Curtis' Patio).
Seriously, though - I hope you are all finding the trip an invaluable experience. Have fun too!
Oh, and like I said previously - watch out for the Willy Wrigglers -that applies to Ross, Ross and Matt - sorry Mike and Cliffy, but those Gambian Water Worms don't find the 'OLD BITS' so tasty! he he he!
Love Verity xxxxxxxx
p.s. Look after my brother Cliff or I'll never buy you another Latte down the Knap Cafe - RA RA RA!
